College and Career Readiness (CCR) is a 6-week course designed to encourage High School students to begin preparing for life after High School!  Topics discussed will include career paths, college decisions, scholarships and grants (for both college and trade schools), resume building, and budgeting.  We are even planning for mock interviews to be conducted at our final meeting!  Courses will coincide with youth activities at Open Door Bible Church from 5-7pm and the course schedule is as follows: Oct 1: Introduction to CCR, parents strongly encouraged to attend. Refreshments provided Oct 8: Tours and Applications, meal provided Oct 15 Scholarships and Financial Aid, meal provided  Oct 22 Finances, meal provided Oct 29 Job Basics, meal provided Nov 5 Job lab, refreshments provided     These courses are currently only open to High School students and their parents.  Childcare will not be provided, but if you have younger students (K-8) that you wish to take part in some of the Bible Studies that we have available during the October 8 - 29 meeting times, please reach out to our church office at (318) 746-3417.   Registration deadline is September 24.
